The Curiosity Lab For Taste and Mind
At Xplor Academy, we believe that creativity, curiosity, patience, and human connection are the future of education. Because when learning is playful, it becomes truly effective, We invite you to discover a new way of learning through play — at home, in your activity center, or with your students. We bring together young and old around the table through our games and workshops, turning every session into an open theatre of discovery — where learning, sharing, and imagination come to life. Here, children explore and understand history, geography, the origins of foods and animals, and the impact of the great discoveries made by the world’s greatest explorers. Through our unique double-sided games (animals on one side, ingredients on the other) and the Xplor Nutrition book, curiosity continues long after the game ends — inspiring minds to learn, taste, and explore the world together.
We offer interactive sessions on nutrition, the five senses, world animals, and quizzes — perfect for kindergartens, schools, libraries, and retirement homes. Designed for different age groups and available in Norwegian, English, French, and Spanish.
In addition to board games and “play and learn” workshops, I now offer a new educational tool: Xplor Nutrition, a 140-page book for children and youth that explains the body in a simple way through the analogy of a Formula 1 car. The book makes nutrition accessible, visual, and exciting. We invite you to browse 15 sample pages of our flipbook below. The book is available in print and digital editions.
We recently launched our 10-week program “Taste the World” in collaboration with Smaksverkstedet and Deichman Biblo Holmlia and Tøyen. Each week, 12 children participated in a 30-minute Xplor workshop followed by a cooking session. The program concluded with an Xplor quiz night for parents and a neighborhood celebration, where the children shared their culinary discoveries with the community. This initiative combined cooking, games, and learning to engage both children and parents in cultural exploration and togetherness.

Choose between exploring the rich history of chocolate or diving into molecular gastronomy with a hands-on baking session. Each workshop lasts 2–3 hours and accommodates up to 12 participants.
